I left the lovely Duckthorpe Grange and headed for Grimsby via Marshchapel, where I stopped by at the village hall to say goodbye and thank you to Pauline for her kindness in looking after me so well. She gave me some home-made cakes to take with me – some VERY DELICIOUS home-made cakes! I am as you know a big fan of cake and all things cake-related.
The rest of the journey was less pleasant, mainly because it rained much of the time and I got cold and wet.
There were no B and Bs available. Lots of people wanted to help but were fully booked up as it just so happened there was a lot going on in the area over the weekend.
But the Thorpe Park holiday park came to the rescue and let me pitch my tent there for free and use their facilities. This made for a reasonably comfortable night despite the rain. The new sleeping bag by MIKE PHILLIPS was fantastic so THANK YOU MIKE.
I would like to thank DARREN the manager at Thorpe Park for helping me out. Thorpe Park is a very well run park for tents, tourers and homes with great amenities. A big HELLO too to Michael and Jodie who work at the park http://www.haven.com/pa…/lincolnshire/thorpe-park/index.aspx
